Market Drayton slipped to defeat against Pontesbury in their match on Saturday.
Batting first Pontesbury’s early batsmen made useful scores and after 49 overs, reached 218 for 7, before declaring.
Arminder Virk took three wickets with Coggins and Davies taking two each.
In reply Drayton were soon in trouble but when Virk joined Paul Martin, things improved.
Martin reached an excellent 71 and Virk 37. Jesse Thompstone scored well with 24. But a Drayton collapse left them failing to capitilise on their opportunity as they finished 169 all out losing by 49 runs and picking up just six points.
