The new MarketDraytonAdvertiser.com
has been redesigned to be more compatible with modern
browsers and with disability learning software.
We have incorporated a 'Text Only' version of the site
that removes all graphics and presents data to the user
in a clear and more defined manner - useful for people
who use screen-reading software or who have sight related
problems. The text-only version can be customised by
the user - changing background/text colour combinations
and font sizes on the fly are both possible.
Screenreader software is predominantly used by internet
users with disabilities. Software used by blind or visually
impaired users can read the site back, opening up a
whole world of information that would otherwise be inaccessable.
To this end, this new star site has been designed to
be more compatable with these specialist pieces of software
- without a loss of quality on standard internet browsers.
Another major improvement to the site has been the 'Breadcrumb'
navigation at the top of every page, which offers the
user a visual key to where they are within the site,
as well as a means to return to a particular section
they were in, with just a single click.
Global site navigation has been broken down into smaller,
easier to manage sections with these being:
Each of these section has an index page, which lists
the sections within that particuar area. A prime example
of this is the Features section that now incorporates
a large majority of the site content.
