A fanatical housewife has paid homage to Michael Jackson by changing her name with the help of a Market Drayton based company.
Marina Jayne Hancock, who lives in Warwick, decided she wanted to change her name in honour of the King of Pop who would have celebrated his 51st birthday on August 29.
To mark the occasion Marina enlisted the help of Market Drayton firm, The Legal Deed Service, which is based on Shropshire Street.
She is now officially known as Ms MJ Michael Jackson and is the first person to change her name to incorporate the star’s moniker.
Ms Michael Jackson said: “I’ve only told my immediate family and friends so far and they all think it’s a bit nutty but pretty cool too. My brother and sisters are big Michael Jackson fans as well and now that they are over the shock of the name change, they think it’s a great choice.”
Jamie Jackson, Chief Executive of the Legal Deed Service, said: “In the past we have had name changes both to highlight a topical issue and to pay homage to a celebrity. This name change falls into both categories as it is a great tribute to a star who passed away in his prime.
