An Audlem lady will take a grilling from ‘Queen of Mean’ Ann Robinson when she appears on hit TV quiz show The Weakest Link.
Mum-of-two Lesley Davenport will appear as a contestant on the hit BBC show on Monday.
Lesley, who is a member of Audlem’s 5A’s drama group and the Audlem Bowling Club described the experience of being on the show as “fantastic”.
She said: “I had a really wonderful day. During the first round I was very nervous but so was everyone else and after that we all settled down.
“What I found most difficult was keeping my eye on the board to see how the money was going up and thinking about when we bank. It was quite difficult concentrating on that while also trying to give correct answers.”
Lesley’s performance on the Weakest Link is the seventh time she has appeared on a hit television game show.
Lesley said: “My advice to anyone getting started is to apply for the shows that are on in the day time on Channel 5. Not as many people apply for them.
“Anyone thinking about going onto the Weakest Link though should definitely do it. Ann Robinson was just as icy as she appears on the television.”
Lesley’s episode will be screened on Monday at 5.15pm on BBC1.
