The mother of Market Drayton Big Brother star Freddie Fisher has promised a “big welcome home party” for her son when he leaves the reality TV show.
Speaking to the Advertiser this week, Ann Fisher said she hopes the 24-year-old Oxford graduate will survive another week in the house.
Freddie, who changed his name to Halfwit by deed poll, faces eviction for the fourth week running but is still the bookie’s favourite to win the £100,000 prize.
He is up against Hertfordshire student Sree Dasari in tonight’s public vote and Ann admitted that Sree was not one of her favourite housemates.
“I’ve not particularly warmed to Sree but there are other people I’d prefer to see go,” she said.
“It’s come as a huge surprise that Freddie’s been put up for eviction again but he seems to be coping alright.
“He’s quite resilient and I’d like to see him survive again to show the others that they’re being quite unpleasant towards him and for them to realise that you don’t achieve very much by bullying people.”
Ann said she had not expected her son to enter the competition but added that Freddie was someone who would “have a go at something.”
“I was quite surprised when he went in because he hadn’t been an avid watcher of Big Brother,” she said.
Ann confirmed she would not be travelling down to London this Friday for eviction night, but Freddie’s younger brother Charlie, 21, and friend, Ravi Chopra, would be there.
“I’m sure things won’t be quite the same when he comes out but we’ll obviously put on some sort of big welcome home party for him,” she said.
“I just take it week by week because nobody knows what’s going to happen in there.”
