Hales entertained basement club Bomere Heath last weekend and earned a comfortable nine wicket victory and 20 points.
Hales won the toss and elected to bowl first in slightly helpful conditions.
The home side didn’t get it all their own way though as Bomere’s openers mixed dogged defence with the odd bit of fortunae to put on 40 for the first wicket.
Rumble (31) was joined by stroke maker Dovaston (29) to take the visitors to 84-2.
For the second successive home game, Hales clawed their way back into the match namely through Gavin Brookes whose seven wickets saw Bomere collapse and Hales take a stranglehold of the match.
Mixing it up a little Brookes claimed 7-38 and he was well supported by James Ward (2-46) and Rob Swinnerton (1-24) as Bomere were bowled out for 136.
In reply, openers Gary Boyles (73) and Phil Harrington (30*) had little trouble chasing down the target .
Phil Harrington also passed 1,000 Shropshire League runs since Hales’ return in 2005.
Next week Hales travel to Ludlow.
