A Market Drayton name changing firm has shown that it isn’t just Freddie Fisher having an impact on the Big Brother House.
The Legal Deed Service, which is based on Shropshire Street, was this week asked to legally change two of the house mates names.
Freddie and fellow contestant Sophie Reade, from Nantwich, were the house mates chosen and are now both legally known as Halfwit and Dogface.
Jamie Jackson, Chief Executive of the Legal Deed Service, said: “We were over the moon to be asked to help Big Brother and were delighted to help the contestants complete their legal name changes in order to secure their places in the Big Brother house.
“Both house mates found the process quick and easy and will be able to apply for a new passport and bank account when they come out.
“It was extremely exciting to conduct the name changes. I was asked if I would be interested in doing it and Channel 4 sent someone here for me to sign a non-disclosure act. I then got a fax containing the names and addresses of all sixteen of the contestants.”
Jamie was then asked to write a deed for every single house mate to enable them to have their name changed.
Channel 4 took the deeds directly to the house.
Jamie said: “It was exciting having the names of all the house mates before they went into the house, especially knowing that all the national newspapers were trying to get their hands on them.
“It was a huge honour to be chosen and we can’t wait to see how the two contestants get on.”
It isn’t the first time the Market Drayton firm has been asked to change the name of a celebrity. In February the Advertiser exclusively revealed that the company was behind the name change of Christine Hamilton to Mrs British Battleaxe.
